header omega 3 duo

THE BENEFITS OF TWO OILS IN ONE CAPSULE.

With Vitamin E

Omega 3 helps to reduce cholesterol, triglycerides and cardiovascular risk.

Omega 3 is polyunsaturated essential fatty acids (PUFAs) that our bodies cannot manufacture and which must be obtained from the foods we eat. There are 6 types of Omega 3 fatty acids, with the main ones being DHA, EPA and ALA.These lipids can come from plants or animals.

Animal source
Ultra-deodorized fish oil is purified so that it is much more pleasant to the senses (taste and smell). It is also the richest natural source of DHA and EPA.These fatty acids are found in high concentrations in certain fish, particularly those from the cold waters of the South Atlantic.DHA and EPA are known as Marine Omega 3 because they are synthesized by phytoplankton, which is later consumed by fish.

Plant source
Oil from the chia seed (Salvia hispanica L.) is the main plant source of ALA Omega 3.Chia seeds are approximately 30% oil, of which more than 60% is ALA Omega 3.

Importance of the concentration and combination
Fish oil can have different concentrations of Omega 3 depending on the type of fish and the extraction and purification method used during its production.Omega 3 DUO’s raw materials are:

• Ultra-deodorized fish oil with 35% Omega 3 (DHA 18% and EPA 10%)
• Chia seed oil with 60% ALA Omega 3

Consumed individually, chia seed oil has a higher percentage of Omega 3 than fish oil, but it lacks the valuable DHA and EPA; fish oil by itself has less Omega 3 than chia seed oil and does not provide ALA in one’s daily diet.Omega 3 DUO, however, provides just the right combined proportion of Plant-based Omega 3 and Marine Omega 3 so that consumers can receive the maximum benefit of both oils in a soft capsule.Besides being practical and convenient, fish oil in soft capsules contains a much greater amount of this important nutrient than one can get from eating fish every day, including cold-water fish with high concentrations of Marine Omega 3.This is the same with chia seeds. The oil is obtained from inside the seeds and even if these are crushed and eaten, a very large quantity must be consumed in order for our digestive system to extract the same beneficial dosage of ALA contained in our capsules.

The importance of the DHA
DHA, or docosahexaenoic acid, is a fatty acid essential to various bodily processes and plays an important role in brain and nervous system development.

Main Ingredients

Each soft capsule contains:
Ultra-deodorized fish oil + chia seed oil .... 1000 mg
Vitamin E ……………………………………. 0.50 mg

2 capsules daily provide:
- 2000 mg chia seed oil + ultra-deodorized fish oil
- 40% total Omega 3 content
- 300mg de ALA (Plant-based Omega 3); 270 mg of DHA y 150 mg of EPA (Marine Omega 3).
- Vitamin E 1.0 mg, equivalent to 10% of the RDI (Recommended Daily Intake)

Uses
Important scientific studies advocate the use of Omega 3 as a functional nutrient.Omega 3 helps to reduce LDL cholesterol (bad cholesterol) while increasing HDL cholesterol (good cholesterol). It also helps reduce triglyceride levels in the blood. As a whole, it decreases risk factors and promotes cardiovascular health. In addition, Omega 3 has been shown to reduce blood pressure and help decrease the risk of thrombosis.

Vitamin E is an important antioxidant that has been shown to reduce oxidative damage and stress as well as help prevent the deterioration of the oil’s components.
